Making books is a very different process to publishing online. A book is the freezing of time and information, which is a means of reflection; you can compare it to a photograph or a painting. An image at a given moment serves as a reference of time and place. If you print something it’s unchangeable. The internet, where everything is in flux, has helped me define and articulate what I do more precisely than ever before. When people refer you to the internet, you can never be sure that it’s correct. I think it’s interesting to explore this notion of frozen information and what that means.Irma Boom (2014)
